Nepal has always fascinated me. So much so that, in early 2022, as soon as pandemic-era travel restrictions eased up, it was my first destination. Unfortunately, I acted a little too soon. At the end of a five-day trip I tested positive for COVID, & due to airline regulations (& my inability to get a negative test result), ended up spending nearly six weeks in the country. On the plus side, this gave me time to travel widely: visiting the capital, Kathmandu, the mountain village of Dhulikhel, and later, in an effort to regain my health, sub-tropical Chitwan. At every stop the Nepalese people displayed the upmost hospitality. Without a doubt, there are worst places to be stuck!
